You can see the hair limit I let in the texture, because I've never made "successfull" hair YET...

The Giraffant

Last year, the last exercise of the anatomy curses was to mix two species of animal into one new race drawing (with muscles etc..). I chose the giraffe and the elephant.

Then I decided to take the 2D design and to do it again, but this time in 3D.
(Done ine 3DS max and zbrush).

The Ant

Here is an exercise done in class, we had to do an ant during a 3h and a half lapse time.

Full Metal Alchemist

Here's an image I did in one afternoon plus one night based on a screenshot I did in the first episode of the Full Metal Alchemist series. The glowing effect and some shadows are done in photoshop.

Zelda

Since the beginning of the school year, I and some friends of mine joined an group prject.
Here's the link for more information :

http://www.zelda-renaissance.fr/

The aim of the project is to make the first level of the gameboy game zelda awakening.
We are still in "R&D" phase, but we should start 3D very soon.
So here is an artwork I did for the project (pencil, paper, photoshop and my empty head...).

Foxy...

Here is an avatar I did for a friend.

Animation

Animation being the theme of this new year at school, here is my first 2D animation.

Still life

Here is one of our last exercise, a still life based on our grandparents' job.
My grandfather was thus a coalman :)

Wendling's tiger

Here is a reproduction exercise based on the "tiger" drawn by Clair Wendling.

The spiny lobster

Here we had to do a realistic animal (no fur allowed) and to integrate it in an environnement (later someone made me noticed spiny lobster can't walk outside water, I'm such an ass...).
It's not finished, because I started it all over again three days before deadline, because I wasn't satisfied... Since I learnt to control myself on that point and do with what I've got.

The Gobelin

Then we had to reproduce a gobelin figurine from The Lord of the Rings.
Here again is after I returned the final render, pushing a little more on zbrush.

Travolta's portrait

Here is a head I did after an other exercise at school.
We had to choose one character and reproduce him/her (not one of my best work, so I won't put it here).
I chose Travolta whom I like a lot.
Later I decided to go further with the head, learning zbrush and the SSS shader, and here we are...

Catwoman

So, here is one of my first work done at bellecour,
starting with a Bruce Timm illustration of Catwoman,
we had to do this character in 3D.
All the stuff you'll see from here is done on 3DS max,
(some are "pushed" on zbrush, it will be notified)
with photoshop for the textures .

Blog's opening !

Hi and Welcome in my brand new blog !
I'm a cg student in Bellecour art school, Lyon (France), and try to make my way in the industry.
Here I'll put my work done over the years at school or at home.
I'm constantly trying to improve my skills (which is fortunately endless) so if you have any feedbacks, they're most welcome !

Hope you enjoy !
